Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) offers a transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program with an elective track in administration and practice management.

Students in the administration and practice management elective track are exposed to current and relevant theories and practices in leadership, management of healthcare facilities and practices, strategy, financial analysis, planning and budgeting, and organizational development. An individually designed capstone project allows students to develop their administrative and practice management skills.

The transitional DPT program with the elective track in administration and practice management is committed to the development of the physical therapist professional that can:

  • Develop an evidence-based reflective analysis of patient care.
  • Influence local, regional, national and international policy, practice, and education through advocacy, consultation, and practice of physical therapy with individuals, populations, and organizations.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in autonomous provision of services including screening, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care, intervention, and outcomes assessment activities.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues at all levels of service in the healthcare system.
  • Apply ethical theories and legal standards to decision-making regarding healthcare issues.

RMUoHP’s transitional DPT program addresses the public’s need for high quality physical therapy service by providing practicing clinicians with opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviors commensurate with contemporary evidence-based practice.
